An Emotional Noven Belleza Performs at the AFP Medical Center.

The first-ever “Tawag ng Tanghalan” grand champion Noven Belleza gave a rousing performance for wounded soldiers and veterans in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the AFP Medical Center in Quezon City on Thursday. He was joined by the cast of the hit afternoon show “Wildflower.”

Noven outdid himself with an astounding performance punctuated by his winning piece, Air Supply’s “The One That You Love,” the same song that netted him victory in TNT. In his heartfelt song number, the singer poured his emotions out to the crowd who was delighted to see Noven Belleza after a month-long hiatus.

His performance at the AFP hospital is also one his first public appearance after undergoing a difficult time that started when a criminal case was filed against him on the grounds of attempted [email protected]

On July 19, 2017, the “Tawag ng Tanghalan” grand champion was accused of s3xual assault. Noven was charged with this criminal case after allegedly making unwanted s3xual advances towards a fellow singer prior to his performance in Cebu City.

Noven, who firmly denied the allegations, was put in jail pending an investigation. After spending 3 days under police custody, the singer was set free after posting a P120,000 bail.

A month after the controversy, the singer finally spoke up.

Noven Belleza expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his fans who showered him with support and prayers during one of the toughest ordeals in his life. According to him, his fans have been a source of strength and inspiration during those times.

In an interview with ABS-CBN, an emotional Noven Belleza also confessed that the controversy has taught him a lesson.

“Siguro po ang natutunan ko po huwag basta-basta magtiwala. Hindi na po pala ako ang dating Noven at may kailangan na pala akong pangalagaan.”

Due to the controversy, Noven was advised by his lawyers not to give out any comments about the case as it is still pending in court.
